Wild Horse Hideaway Bed & Breakfast
|
Wild Horse Hideaway Bed & Breakfast is located on a private beach on Flathead Lake, which is the largest freshwater lake west of the Mississippi and one of the most beautiful crystal clear lakes in the world. The Mission Mountain range lines the lake with peaks up to 10,000 feet. We are nestled amongst the trees, which include famous Flathead cherries, apple, plum, apricot and pear. When joining us at the Hideaway you will be welcomed in this surreal setting. After settling into your lakeside room, embellished with a Montana log bed, down comforter and plush pillows, several choices of relaxation and play are at your fingertips. The changing of the seasons offer various activities. You will enjoy life on our beach. A sit-around campfire will warm the evening when gathering by the waters edge to roast marshmallows. The sunsets can take your breath away. Billions of romantic stars will light up the night skies. The warmer months offer numerous activities for outdoor adventure such as golf at exquisite courses, white water rafting, fishing, boating, hiking, parasailing, birdwatching, kayaking, Summer Theater, art and cultural centers, etc. Sample Flathead Lake cherry wine at the Mission Mountain Winery. Glacier National Park is just an hour away to the north. The Ninepipes Wildlife Refuge and the National Bison Range are an hour south of us. Flathead Lake is surrounded on all sides with rivers, streams and smaller beautiful lakes, each being unique in offered activities. When winter prevails, snuggle up to one of the three cozy fireplaces with hot chocolate perhaps after a day of Alpine or Nordic skiing at world-renowned Whitefish Mountain Resort in Whitefish and Blacktail Mountain Ski Area, which overlooks Flathead Lake. Just relax, read or perhaps play games, cards or watch a movie before retiring. It is quite common to see eagles, wild Canadian geese, osprey and many other species of birds fly by as you dine. We look forward to meeting you at the lake. Your stay in our spacious home will be a truly unforgettable experience. You will feel a sense of belonging, comfort, and security and can leave the outside world behind to fend for itself when you walk out of reality through the doors of Wild Horse Hideaway.
